The Saint Agatha Foundation provides financial support to breast cancer patients in Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Madison, Oneida, and Oswego Counties in Central New York. Partner Hospitals and Healthcare Providers

The following are partners with the Saint Agatha Foundation and can assist you in receiving financial assistance for the care you need. The organization will determine each patient’s need.

1. Auburn Community Hospital

Auburn Community Hospital (ACH) provides care for patients in Cayuga County and surrounding communities. The goal of ACH’s “We Care” program, which is funded by the Saint Agatha Foundation, is to reduce the financial stress for breast patients.

2. Bassett Medical Center

Bassett Healthcare Network through Saint Agatha Foundation support, provides care to breast cancer patients with such costs as copays, physical therapy costs, post-surgical camisoles and bras, lymphedema sleeves and wigs.

3. Chenango Health Network

Chenango Health Network is a rural health network whose objectives are to increase access to health and wellness information and to health care services. Saint Agatha Foundation support to Chenango Health Network provides financial medical support to uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients.

4. Cortland Memorial Foundation

Cortland Memorial Foundation administers the “Hope Now” breast cancer program that provides financial assistance funded by the Saint Agatha Foundation. This program assists with expenses such as treatments, procedures or testing, medical office co-payments, lymphedema supplies, prostheses, and camisoles and bras. The Breast Cancer Care Program at Cortland Regional Medical Center (CRMC) offers coordinated, compassionate care to proactively manage a patient’s diagnosis and treatment program. CRMC provides a comprehensive range of services that includes prevention/screening including digital mammography and stereotactic biopsy, surgical care, infusion therapy, and post-operative recovery including physical rehabilitation. The Confident Woman Boutique is a local source for post-mastectomy products and lymphedema supplies.

5. Crouse Hospital

Breast cancer care at Crouse Hospital focuses on treatment of the whole person, including a multi-disciplinary team approach combined with patient-centered care. The Crouse team provides a comprehensive range of services that include chemotherapy for inpatients and outpatients, infusion therapy, and surgical care. Crouse also provides complementary therapies including Reiki, therapeutic massage, and pet therapy. The Breast Health Center at Crouse Hospital is the first Syracuse Facility to be designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

The Comprehensive Breasts Care Center (CBCC) offers patients understandable, practical advice about being newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The Center provides educational programs on breast health throughout the year and individual consultations that include information for post-operative care and therapy. The CBCC also carries post-mastectomy products in the private setting of the Perfect Fit Boutique.

7. Oneida Healthcare

Oneida Healthcare (OHC)‘s financial support program, called “Laurie’s Legacy,” is funded by the Saint Agatha Foundation. Financial aid is available to anyone with a diagnosis of breast cancer who is struggling to make ends meet. The program provides funding for individuals who reside within OHC’s cachement area, not just individuals who are seen by OHC. The hospital provides mammography, stereotactic breast biopsies, and surgical oncology. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy services are also provided on-campus.

8. Oswego Hospital

Oswego Hospital, with funding from the Saint Agatha Foundation, supports, educates, and guides patients and their family members through the complex journey of a breast cancer diagnosis. Caring, trained professional staff members will assess, develop, and implement individualized care plans that best fit the needs of each patient. In addition, Oswego Health facilitates two breast cancer support meetings every month.

9. Rome Memorial Hospital

Rome Memorial Hospital provides quality healthcare with compassion and is committed to accountability, respect, integrity, innovation and excellence always. Saint Agatha Foundation grant funding provides support for a financial assistance program for breast cancer patients who cannot afford the direct and indirect costs associated with their disease

10. St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center

Through St. Joseph’s Breast Cancer Pathway Program, nurses and social workers provide weekly sessions for women undergoing diagnostic or treatment services, addressing what to expect at each step, types of support needed after procedures, financial implications of treatment, and how patients may feel. Other services include support groups for minority women, breast cancer education, and telephone support for breast cancer patients. St. Joseph’s also offers L.E.A.P. from Stage Zero, a treatment plan to reduce, delay and prevent progression of lymphedema following treatment, the only program of its kind in Central New York.

Upstate Medical University has provided state-of-the-art comprehensive breast care to Central New York and the region for over 25 years. As part of an intensified commitment to breast disease, Upstate has created Central New York’s first multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program, designed not only to treat disease but also to make the decision and treatment process more responsive to the patient’s anxieties, pressures, and preferences.

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, supporting children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. The Syracuse area camp is held through Syracuse University.

Francis House provides a home and a supportive extended family to people with terminal illnesses with a prognosis of six months or less to live. Saint Agatha Foundation funding provides support for those with breast cancer.
